Center of Excellence Head for BPS

Introduction

BPS Center of Excellence Leader is responsible for Transformation & Innovation -providing thought leadership in transforming the processes within scope of TCS BPS Customers in alignment with industry best practices., implementation of Process Controls and Compliance., understand & implement the TCS methodologies and practices inclusive of tools and jointly own the strategy of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes. He/She will work with Group Leaders and support various initiatives as mentioned and comply with Contractual Commitments and provide Business Value to their Customers. Support the growth of the Global Delivery Centers footprint across all services and work / support all relevant groups

Represent BPS Unit during client visits, occasionally travels to location of potential clients and demonstrates the site capabilities/ Domain expertise/ Thought Leadership domain specific methodologies., tools., practices to the respective parties. Conduct training as applicable for the BPS teams and support GDC initiatives inclusive of New Hire Orientations., Domain trianing., Tools and technologies etc leveraging or creation of assets under the respective COEs.

Function

Business Value

· Accountable for Business Value targets of the BPS unit

· Understand and implement TCS key methodoligies and framework as applicable for BPS services like FORETM., Industry Best practices

· Responsible for Gross Margin improvement of the BPS projects

· Training / Mentoring of BPS team and enabling them to be Lean/ Green Belt & Black belt certifications. Meet or exceed the targets assigned

Domain Expertise & upskilling of team competency

· Accountable for working with TCS Global COE teams and support in running programs/ initiatives., to enhance / upskills BPS teams domain competency

· Conduct / support trainings and enable certification process

Tools., Automation., advanced technological initaitives Implementation

· Work with TCS Global teams and support Group Leaders in implementation of tools., automations., advanced technological initiatives as appropriate in their projects

General Process Control

· Access the processes and responsible for deployment of domain specific controls leveraing the industry best practices while working with the Global COE teams

· Ensure Controls and compliance of processes through assessments and providing recommendation and working jointly with the Group Leaders in appropriate implementation.

Quality Functions

· Participation and enablement of certifications related to quality, compliance, process standardization, etc

· Ensures that documentation and reusable assets are created in engagements / project teams & shared as appropriate – Knowledge Management

· Shares best-practices, ensures standardization & harmonisation of processes

Customer Satisfaction

· Ensures compliance with set CSI targets

· Lead and contribute in Monthly / Quarterly / Annual Business Review meetings of key Customers as GDC and as assigned by BPS Unit Head

· Reviews metrics with customer and internal stakeholders

· Support Group Leaders in resolving key issues (Red projects)

· Interfaces with customer to address escalated concerns (Red projects) as assigned By BPS Unit Head

· Participates in client presentations to showcase project’s depth of delivery expertise / capability & explores opportunities to increase wallet share from customer

People Management

· Acts as a role model in the field of expertise.

Requirements

· Bachelor degree in Accounting; Preferably Chartered Accountant / Cost or Management accountant / MBA

· Over all 15 + years of experience

· 4 years in Project Management experience in similar field
